Mezzek White Soil Merlot is also from my favourite Katarzyna Estate, situated in the Thracian Region of Bulgaria, vintage 2008. It is a dry red wine with wonderful scent of fruits.The colour is dark red and ruby. The aroma is light and fruity with an oak tinge. The taste of the wine is very well balanced and harmonious. 14% alcohol.
The wine is very suitable for a lovely dinner of pasta and soft cheese. It is definately a very good value for money (costing only about 3,50 Euro). I have to admit it tastes much better that some of the more expensive wines described here.
